The Artist
When
Sheri was four, she told her parents she wanted to be an artist and
was accepted at the Art School of Painting at age 12. Ted Fogel's
student's learned technique by painting replicas of old masters.
When she was just 14, she painted Sir Thomas Lawrence's Calmady
Children and a link to her future. Sheri is now in the process
of submitting her portrait, Angels, her very own Calmady
Children, to the prestigious Smithsonian Outwin Boochever
Portrait competition 2006.
The
Cinderella part of her story began when Sheri was painting a mural
onsite at the New York Art Expo in March 2005. The ARTV cameras and
Audrey Roberts, the founder of the first ever "Academy Awards for
art," took notice of her.
Sheri is
among three artists nationwide to be nominated for an
ARTV
award in mural painting. The awards ceremonies will hold previews in
Hollywood, CA on July 14, 2005 and the award ceremonies will be held
at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas on Oct. 28, 2005. It will be
filmed and produced in HDTV for national television.
This
summer Sheri will collaborate in Italy with the masters Pascal
Amblard, Sean Crosby, Pierre Finklestein and Nicola Vigini. Her art
continues to grow and Sheri says;" I am thrilled to part of Audrey
Robert's artistic revolution. I have a passion for sharing what I
do. I pour my heart and soul into my creations and I am a painter of
emotions."
Sheri has
been a guest on Fox TV's "Good Day
New York"
and had her work displayed in the Decorative Arts Magazine. North
Light Publishing has commissioned a future book on children's
murals. She is part of the Art Renewal center and will be a guest
speaker on the Royal Caribbean Lines later this year
